Hong Kong – Cloud Expo Asia and Data Centre World will take place in Hong Kong on May 18 and 19, 2016 bringing together Asia’s leading cloud and data centre suppliers, manufacturers, investors, industry leaders and visionaries for the first time in North Asia.

The highly anticipated debut of Cloud Expo Asia and Data Centre World Hong Kong has had a last minute change of venue and will now take place at AsiaWorld-Expo due to the significant security operation being prepared for the visit of a senior Chinese government official to the Belt and Road Summit also taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on May 18th

“We didn’t take the decision to move the event lightly. We have almost 200 speakers, many of them flying into Hong Kong for the event from overseas, several thousand delegates and over 100 sponsoring companies and the prospect of not knowing whether we could open the show at all on May 18 due to the security arrangements for another conference, made it impossible to plan, and carry out, we were therefore left with no alternative but to seek an alternative venue,” commented Chris Brown, Group Event Director for event organiser, CloserStill Media Hong Kong Ltd.

Brown added that by moving the venue to AsiaWorld-Expo allows these co-located events to run without disruption to delegates and exhibitors and gives organizers some certainty that they can deliver the best possible experience for the region’s IT and data centre communities.

The free-to-attend technology event for enterprise, service providers and data centre operators, brings leading established technology brands, in both the cloud and data centre fields, to Hong Kong and already has thousands of attendees registered.

Among those attending are leaders from a broad spectrum of industries, including financial services, government, education, telecoms, media, leisure, construction and IT.

Building on the award-winning Cloud Expo and Data Centre World events that take place in London, Frankfurt and Singapore, these events will attract thousands of international delegates, including senior IT professionals looking at cloud adoption or restructuring their current cloud strategies, top data center managers running the region’s most cutting-edge data centres, as well as leading cloud service providers.

2016 also marks the first time that such programmes will be staged in Hong Kong and together they will form the largest dedicated Cloud and Data Centre solutions event seen in North Asia.

The events will showcase a leading international exhibition of over 100 suppliers, an enviable line-up of 200 speakers and the opportunity to learn from dozens of best-practise case studies.

Data Centre World, the largest gathering of data centre expertise in North Asia, will allow attendees to hear from the world’s leading data centre suppliers and operators on key technologies available to the market, current and future trends.

In addition to the international exhibition, visitors will be invited to interact with and learn from experts from companies such as Amazon, Barclays, Frost & Sullivan, Lonely Planet, the Malaysian Association for Information Systems, Peking University and the Philippine National Police.

According to the Asia Cloud Computing Association’s Cloud Readiness Index 2016, Hong Kong leads the world in cloud readiness ahead of city state rival Singapore making it the perfect location to host Cloud Expo Asia. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
