South Korea stocks were mixed Wednesday after shares jumped to a near 20-month high Tuesday. Here are the top gainers on KOSDAQ Wednesday.

Simmtech Holdings (KOSDAQ:036710) topped the chart with a 19.26% gain as of 1 pm (Seoul time) to trade at KRW3,700 a share. The Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs) saw a total of 4.36 million shares exchanging hands in today’s trade.

Sewoo Global (KRX:013000)’s stock was up 13.98% to trade at KRW2,690 a share. A total of 14.1 million shares exchanged hands. Sewoo is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the wholesale and retail of plastic raw materials.

Shinyang Auracom Display (KOSDAQ:086830) joined the list of gainers in South Korea with a 15.98% price change. The company’s stock traded at KRW568 a share, with 5.74 million shares exchanging hands. Shinyang is mainly engaged in the manufacdturing and assembling of wireless mobile phone cases.

Solco Biomedical (KOSDAQ:043100), a manufacturing of medical equipment and healthcare products, gained 12.90% at noon, adding KRW116 to trade at KRW1,015. A total of 11.55 million Solco shares exchanged hands.

Korea New Network (KOSDAQ:058400)’s stock was also up 10.24% to trade at KRW1,130 a share. The company provides television (TV) broadcasting, radio broadcasting and broadcast advertisements. It provides network programs and self-organizing programs. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
