MACAU – (ACN Newswire) – Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited (“APE” or the “Company”, with its subsidiaries collectively referred as the “Group”; Stock Code: 8400.HK) announced today the debut of the Fortune Cup horse racing machine in two of the most prominent casinos in Macau, further expanding the electronic table game’s reach in Asia.

Developed by gaming machine specialist Konami Australia Pty Ltd, Fortune Cup is a multi-station mechanical horse racing game with real-time digital video animation. It combines the mechanics of traditional arcade horse racing with the actual experience of casino-table gaming.

Fortune Cup comprises a central 274cm-wide race track for eight horses, which can move freely and independently across the course. There are 12 high-definition touchscreen terminals for players to place bets and view horse odds, race statistics and comprehensive bet options for win, place and quinella.

Fortune Cup is also equipped with a large LCD screen to offer spectators sports broadcasts in real time. Chinese voice-overs for these broadcasts are jointly produced by electronic gaming equipment supplier APE and renowned Hong Kong horse racing commentator Samuel Hung.

“Fortune Cup is an electronic table game that is the only one of its kind in Macau. We are getting a lot of positive feedback from operators of this arcade style horse racing game from casino floors. I believe it will be one of the most popular casino games in 2019,” said Mr. Herman Ng, APE’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.

Mr. Hideo Goto, International Sales Manager at Konami Australia, said: “Macau is a market we have been eager to expand into. Konami Australia is very excited to partner with our Macau distributor APE to install the Fortune Cup machines in these two casinos. I look forward to rolling out Fortune Cup to more casinos in future.”
