    New Regional Chief Operating Officer Marc Blottiere Joins AXA Asia

    Marc Blottiere has commenced his role as Regional Chief Operating Officer of AXA Asia as of June 1, reporting directly to Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, Regional Chief Executive Officer of AXA Asia.

    Working towards AXA Asia’s ambition to become the leading customer centric insurer, and by 2030 to serve 100 million customers, Marc brings to the company longstanding experience in both Asia and Europe.

    In his new role he will lead and transform the overall IT and Operations capabilities within the region across all lines of business.

    As a member of the Regional Executive Committee, Marc will play a central role to provide vision and direction for the implementation of IT and Operations initiatives in the region, ensuring they are aligned with reinventing the customer experience.

    Marc Blottiere said, “I am excited to be joining AXA Asia at a pivotal time in its transformation in the region.     Marc has three decades of experience in operations and IT in the insurance field, implementing solutions across life & savings, health & protection and general insurance functions.

    He has previously held senior management roles with AXA in France, Singapore and Japan. One of his key achievements was setting up a new service organization within the AXA Group, AXA Tech, to manage AXA’s IT infrastructure worldwide.

    Most recently he was the Chief Information Officer at AXA France and, prior to that appointment, he was Chief Operating Officer of AXA Life Japan from 2009 for 5 years and was Group Chief Information Officer at AXA Group from 2005 for 4 years.
