JAKARTA – (ACN Newswire) – Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, HE Osamh Mohammed Abdullah Shuibi, inaugurated the VFS / TasHeel branch at Epiwalk, South Jakarta, on Monday (9/24). The inauguration which began at 10:00 am was attended by officials of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Embassy.

Later, VFS / TasHeel will be useful for biometric services (recording fingerprints and faces) when arranging Umrah and Hajj visas to Saudi Arabia. As previously reported through the official Twitter account of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Embassy, as of October 24, 2018, all applications for visas to the country must include biometric records.

“The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Jakarta informs you that as of 14/1/1440 H or 24/09/2018 M onwards, (we) will impose biometric registration (fingerprints and face images) for all types of visa services to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” based on Twitter account

In the post, it is also mentioned that the service can be done through the visa service office and the bio feature ‘VFS / TasHeel’ which has now 34 offices spread throughout Indonesia.

VFS is considered capable because it has over 6 years of experience in fingerprint recording and more than 80 years of experience in the development of diplomatic passports.

“Thus, (we will) be able to provide services for those who wish to obtain a visa as they still have enough time to register fingerprints,” continued the upload.
