Global technology and services giant Tech Mahindra has acquired private equity-backed digital marketing agency Born Group for an undisclosed amount.

Born was established in 2011 as a combination of two acquired firms – Group FMG, a content production house, and Pod1, a New York-based marketing boutique specialised in creative design.

The company produces unique brand experiences by connecting 10 specialisms that serve as the foundation of the digital economy – creative design, content production, commerce enablement, conversions, cloud technology, cognition, cohesion, consulting and completeness across all channels.

“We have grown exponentially and the time has come for us to go from eight countries to 90, from 10 specialisms to 30, and continue our journey as a transformative agency that will be remembered as being bold, authentic, and beautiful,” said Born CEO Dilip Keshu.

Born is the latest acquisition to Tech Mahindra’s portfolio of innovative and strategic digital solution agencies. It will continue to operate as an independent entity under the Mahindra Group umbrella.

“The acquisition deepens our global presence and capabilities in end-to-end Digital Customer Experience services, including design, transformation, and execution,” according to Tech Mahindra President Ritesh Idnani.

The acquisition, Idnani added, marks an important milestone in Tech Mahindra’s digital journey.
