The Global Smart Green Data Center Summit 2023 successfully concluded on July 4th in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia.

Under the theme “Smart DC, Building the Green Future,” industry leaders converged to discuss the AI era’s demands and challenges for the data center industry, with green data center practices as the central focus. Huawei unveiled three innovative data center facility solutions, marking the summit’s highlight.

In his opening speech, Hou Jinlong, President of Huawei Digital Power, underscored the rising demand for data center construction due to the accelerated pace of digital transformation.

Huawei is concentrating on integrating bit, watt, heat, and battery technologies (4T) to provide various-sized data centers and mission-critical power solutions for different businesses.

Charles Yang, President of Global Marketing, Sales and Services of Huawei Digital Power, emphasized Huawei’s commitment to building a robust, secure, and world-leading technological system to aid global customers and ecosystem partners in establishing a low-carbon smart future in the burgeoning digital economy.

Fei Zhenfu, President of Huawei Data Center Facility Domain, introduced the next-generation indirect evaporative cooling solution EHU and the mobile intelligent management solution iManager-M. These new offerings aim to enhance the reliability and quality of data center operations.

Huawei’s EHU offers an energy-saving solution, using AeroTurbo fans and IceCube polymer heat exchangers to optimize cooling efficiency and achieve a PUE as low as 1.15. The solution guarantees system availability at 99.9999% and ensures minimal impact of network attacks.

Huawei’s intelligent management solution, iManager-M, presents clear KPIs and mobile O&M anywhere, anytime. It identifies potential risks across more than 20 scenarios and can reduce the PUE by over 15%.

Shui Yu, General Manager of Huawei Data Center Facility, introduced the FusionDC Ecosystem Solution based on the “1+4+N” architecture. This approach will facilitate the prefabricated modular construction upgrade, reducing the time to market by 50%.

With these innovative solutions, Huawei aims to work with customers and ecosystem partners to lay a robust foundation for the digital world, establishing a win-win, low-carbon, and smart future for the data center industry.
