The annual tradition of paying tribute to overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their families during the holiday season continues, and this time in Cebu City.

During a media briefing on December 9, SM & BDO announced that the much anticipated “Pamaskong Handog” is back and will have star-studded and exciting activities for the OFWs in Cebu.

Present during the media briefing were BDO Senior Vice President BDO Remittance Genie T. Gloria, and SM Supermalls vice president for Mall Operations Visayas, Michelle Llanos.

Amazing prizes and exclusive perks were given to Overseas Filipino families during the program in the afternoon at the Event Centre of SM City Cebu.

This year’s heartwarming celebration was graced by BDO’s long-time endorser Piolo Pascual and the newest addition to the BDO family – social media influencer Small Laude.

“It’s nice to be back here in Cebu. Maraming opportunities for us and our Kabayans and we want them to have proper access to financial products of e-bank. We want to tell everyone, not only the centers, but also those who are receiving their money on how they are able to build a relationship with a stable financial institution,” said Gloria.

SM and BDO always find ways to treat overseas Filipinos and their families with opportunities to celebrate and make memories.

While loved ones are abroad, the SM malls become another home for overseas Filipino families, where they can safely claim remittances, be entertained, shop, share a meal, and spend quality time together

“I welcome everyone to SM City Cebu. We just recently celebrated 30 years of service, and I’m sure that a lot of our Cebuanos consider this your home also. You celebrated many firsts here in SM City Cebu. We are very happy to welcome back BDO for this activity because this activity is really intended for our kababayans.” Llanos said during the press conference.

Apart from the celebrities joining the event, viewers from all over the world were also treated to enjoy virtual games with many prizes.

Since 2012, the Pamaskong Handog has given lots of laughter, entertainment, and gifts to Overseas Filipino families.

The event is a testament to the unwavering commitment of BDO to give back to the community, especially to the Filipinos who work tirelessly abroad to provide a better future for their loved ones back home.
