Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotions has confirmed that the 58th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair will push through from September 7 to 11 at Challenger Hall I-3, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
Organizers of this year’s Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair (BGJF) has warned producers, manufacturers and retailers in the sector that the event is complete different from and not related in any way to the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair (TGJF).
“Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is the only exhibition that is held by the government, which solely owns the copyright of the fair,” a statement from the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce said.
800 Companies, 2,400 Booths
At least 800 companies are expected to attend this year’s fair, with over 2,400 booths from selected domestic and overseas exhibitors.
Trade day will be on September 7 to 9 while the event will be open to the public on September 10 and 11.
“This year’s grand Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair places special emphasis on advancing the role of the Thai jewelry industry on the international stage through increased trade opportunities by expanding the extensive list of local and regional traders to prominent global buyers,” organizers said.
Moving Towards The World’s Top Three Industry Trade Shows by 2018
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is now working toward elevating the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair to rank among the world’s top three industry trade shows by the year 2018.
Product groups that will be on display during the fair include ambers, diamonds, pearls, precious metal, precious stones, rough stones, semi-precious stones, synthetics, costume jewelry, fashion jewelry, gold jewelry, silver jewelry, jewelry display & packaging, equipment & tools, jewelry parts, machinery, and a lot more.
Expected visitor groups are importers, manufacturers, trading companies, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, boutiques, fashion showrooms, department stores, buying agents, and designers.
The DITP announced that the 58th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair will be bigger and better with more suppliers, international buyers, and experts from top jewelry makers congregating in Thailand. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
