The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has recently opened a new cafe at SM Seaside City Cebu, marking the latest development in a significant expansion plan with SM Store.
This new location – at the women’s section of SM Store – is part of a broader initiative to introduce 53 additional CBTL cafes across SM Store branches by 2026, bringing the total number of in-store cafes to 78 nationwide.
The collaboration between SM Store and CBTL, which began with the first cafe at SM Store North Edsa in December 2022, has rapidly grown, with 26 cafes already in operation at prominent locations such as North Edsa, Megamall, and Southmall.
In Cebu, CBTL and SM Store are planning to open two more cafes this month – in SM City Consolacion and SM City Cebu.
“Our goal is to have CBTL across all SM Stores in all SM branches to enhance the overall customer experience,” said Erich Lim, AVP Operations Visayas, SM Store.
Lim added that the aim of the partnership is to provide a welcoming environment where customers can relax and enjoy themselves while their husbands or wives are shopping.
The new cafes will also offer exclusive discounts to SM Advantage Card (SMAC) holders, adding further value to the shopping experience.
