PHILIPPINES – BDO Unionbank (PSE:BDO) has announced the appointment of lawyer Alvin C. Go as Assistant Corporate Secretary of BDO and Alternate Corporate Information Officer effective 01 October, 2015.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the bank said Go’s appointment was approved by the Board of Directors of BDO Unibank, Inc at its regular board meeting held last Saturday.

Go is Senior Vice President for the Legal Services Group of BDO. Prior to joining BDO, he was the Chief Legal Counsel of Philippine National Bank from 2003 to 2012.

He was an Associate Attorney for Salonga, Ordonez, Yap, Corpuz, Padlan & Associates Law Offices from 1985 to 1989. He served as Prosecution Attorney from 1989 to 1990 and State Prosecutor of the Department of Justice from 1990 to 1993.

He was Senior Partner at Go and Castro Law Offices from 1999 to 2003. He Obtained his Bachelor of Arts, Major in Political Science, from the Immaculate Concepcion College, Ozamis City and his Bachelor of Laws from Misamis University.

BDO Unibank Inc (PSE:BDO)’s stock was slightly down in the early hours of trading today at Php102.70 a share, from last week’s closing price of Php103.00.

The stock was down 0.29% as of noontime, with 945,560 shares worth Php96.990 million exchanging hands. BDO Unibank has a 52-week high of Php124.40 a share and a 52-week low of Php90.50.

BDO Unibank Inc. (PSE:BDO), originally known as Acme Savings Bank, was acquired by the SM Group in 1976. BDO listed its shares on the Philippine Stock Exchange on May 21, 2002. The Company merged with Equitable PCI Bank in May 2007.
