Property giant Megaworld has commenced the construction of its inaugural hotel development in Northern Luzon, set to be located within the 35.6-hectare Capital Town Pampanga.

The Savoy Hotel Capital Town will mark Megaworld Hotels & Resorts’ fifth property under the Savoy Hotel brand, the largest operator of homegrown hotel brands in the country.

Strategically situated along San Fernando Boulevard, the hotel will be nestled in an area expected to witness a high concentration of tourists and guests within the township.

It will be positioned near the upcoming Capital Mall and will be surrounded by residential condominiums, office developments, and the iconic Plaza Pasudeco.

The 16-story Savoy Hotel Capital Town will feature 374 rooms across various categories, including Twin Suites, Queen Suites, Specially-abled Twin and Queen Suites, Junior Suites, Executive Suites, and Family Suites for larger groups.

With its Neo-Baroque architecture, the hotel’s design takes inspiration from the captivating city of Madrid, Spain.

The façade boasts decorative moldings, pre-cast concrete ledges, and a curved design, accentuated by captivating façade lighting that illuminates the building’s architectural features from the podium up to the roof deck.

The interior showcases a high-ceiling lobby with Western Colonial and Industrial Style era-inspired elements, paying homage to the Pampanga Sugar Development Company (PASUDECO) and the cultural heritage of Capital Town.

Savoy Hotel Capital Town will offer four dining outlets, including a specialty restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant with alfresco areas, a Zabana bar and lounge, and a pool grill bar with outdoor dining.

The hotel will also feature a gift shop and retail spaces on the ground floor. Its amenities comprise a high-ceiling ballroom, function rooms, an executive lounge, meeting rooms, a business center, a fitness center, a kid’s club, a pool deck with adult and kiddie pools, outdoor landscaped areas, a reading nook, and a hammock yard.

Scheduled for opening in 2028 and managed by Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, Savoy Hotel Capital Town will join the group’s portfolio of 18 hotel properties.

Of these, 12 are operational, while five more are in the pipeline, including Savoy Palawan in San Vicente and Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City, expected to be the Philippines’ largest hotel in terms of room count upon its launch.

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts currently manages around 7,700 hotel room keys across its operational properties, including notable hotels like Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Savoy Hotel Boracay, Belmont Hotel Manila, and Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Binondo, Manila.
