Convergent Outsourcing, one of America’s leading collections agencies, has announced the opening of its new customer contact center in Iloilo City, the Philippines.

The new contact center is located in the Megaworld Business District, directly across from the Iloilo City Convention Center, and covers covers more than 30,600 square feet of office space and has over 400 employee workstations.

“The new center in Iloilo is a result of our steady growth, the desire to create a ‘follow the sun’ solution for our clients, and the abundance of highly talented contact handling resources in Iloilo,” said Mike Meyer CEO of Convergent.

The new center will open with two training classes on 3 April. Most of the new positions will involve customer service support, supervisory, and training positions.

Convergent has worked with clients in process outsourcing, revenue cycle and receivables management. As Convergent Outsourcing, Inc., it operates as a third party debt collector for clients.

Meanwhile, Megaworld, the Philippines’s largest office developer and lessor continues to see bright prospect in Iloilo City’s business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.

The bullish outlook prompts Megaworld to open two new office towers in Iloilo City to cater to demands from companies coming into the city, including BPO locators.

The company expects to reach 100,000 square meters of office spaces in Iloilo Business Park by 2020.

The available space will cater to around 40,000 workers, mostly in the BPO sector.

At present, Iloilo Business Park hosts around 15,000 office workers from the seven BPO companies that are currently based in the 72-hectare township in Mandurriao, which has been positioned to be Iloilo City’s central business district. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
