Philippine-listed food and beverage kiosk operator Fruitas Holdings has secured 20 more locations for its community stores and is in final lease negotiations on another 20 locations.

It is set to meet its target of expanding its community store network from 30 as of end-2020 to 100 by end of this year ahead of schedule.

Fruitas opened a Soy & Bean community store in Malhacan Road, Meycauayan, Bulacan on January 21. This was Fruitas’ first community store outside Metro Manila and Metro Cebu.

It also opened its second Soy & Bean community store in Makati last January 29, in Island Plaza, Salcedo Village. The next wave of community stores will cover more of Metro Manila and Cebu, and also include branches in Rizal, Pampanga, Cavite, and Aklan.

Fruitas continues to enhance customer experience in community stores, offering curbside order and pickup. This allows both time-conscious and health-conscious customers to buy their favorite Fruitas products and a curated selection of products from partners without leaving their vehicle.

These include Fruitas fresh fruit juices and dairy-based premium handcrafted ice cream, Soy & Bean soy milk, taho, tofu, and ice cream, frozen Jamaican patties and Shou Chinese delicacies.

“Our community stores have been positively received by our customers. Our rollout program for the year, covering at least 70 community stores and 100 kiosks, is keeping us busy, but we continue to be on the lookout for more opportunities. Our continued expansion not only allows our customers to reach us faster but also makes us an attractive distribution partner,” said Lester Yu, Fruitas Holdings President and Chief Executive Officer.

Fruitas Holdings, listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the symbol FRUIT, is the leading group in the food kiosk industry in the Philippines.

From a single Fruitas stall opened in 2002, the group ended 2019 with 1,068 stores across the country and over 20 brands in its portfolio, which includes well-loved food concepts Fruitas Fresh from Babot’s Farm, Buko Loco, Buko ni Fruitas, De Original Jamaican Pattie, Johnn Lemon, Juice Avenue, Black Pearl, Friends Fries, The Mango Farm, 7,107 Halo Halo Islands, Tea Rex, Kuxina, SHOU La Mien Hand-Pulled Noodles, and Sabroso Lechon.

It recently launched Fruitas dairy-based ice cream and the Soy & Bean soy product line, including Soy & Bean soy-based ice cream, and is opening a number of Babot’s Farm and Soy & Bean community stores. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
