The US government has reported that the country’s economy contracted by 0.7 percent annually in the first quarter of this year, lower than the estimated 0.2% growth pace. MALAYSIA – A report released by Bank Negara Malaysia, the country’s central bank, showed that headline inflation, as measured by the annual percentage change in Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased to 1.8 percent in April from 0.9 percent in March.
