NEPAL – Residents in Nepal’s capital city of Kathmandu went into panic Tuesday as a strong earthquake, measuring 7.3 in magnitude, struck the Nepal-Tibet border, the US Geological Survey announced. BEIJING – China’s central bank, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has trimmed the benchmark loan and deposit interest rates starting 11 May as the government seeks more ways to revive a slowing economy.
